Emily White

  • Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance) Graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts.

  • First Aid trained (level 2).

Emily White (she/her) is a Naarm and kanamaluka based artist, bringing her between the two spaces. She has an immersive practice that focuses on energetic connections through movement, music, audience and space. She has recently completed her core studies at the Victorian College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance) and is set to graduate in November 2024.

Emily has been accepted into post-graduate studies at the Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School and is projected to begin studies in September of 2025.

She was recognised for her potential to succeed and awarded the “Elaine Vallance Scholarship” in 2023. She has also been awarded a bursary by Assembly 197, DRILL Performance and Stompin Youth Dance Company that will take her to Perth Moves Festival in 2025.

Having performed in national arts festivals including MONA FOMA, Junction Arts Festival and with Stompin, Emily knows the benefit that youth dance has and is passionate about passing it to the next generation. Emily sees dance as a tool to help us navigate everyday lives and articulate challenging things. She seeks to continue engaging with youth dance as she continues on her dance journey and is excited to be at NOOK.
