The Mummy/Daddy and Me class gives 2 - 3.5 year-olds the opportunity to share their first dance experience with a trusted caregiver. Despite the name of this class, children can participate with a grandparent, babysitter, aunty/uncle etc if preferred, participation is not limited to mums or dads. The Mummy/Daddy and Me programs have an emphasis on use of props and imagery, songs and dancing to music, musical response through movement, basic movement co-ordination of gross motor skills and a minor introduction to a couple of ballet steps.

Mummy/Daddy and Me begins with a 3-class-trial package to give your child time to settle into the program. After 3 classes you will know for sure whether or not you would like to continue for the remainder of the term.

‘Tots’ is a Preschool Ballet program for children who are ready to take instruction from a teacher independently from their caregiver. 

The program revolves around a single theme which lasts for a term, allowing the child to become familiar with the routine of the class. This gives them that sense of security and helps to develop particular movement skills through repetition.
There is a strong narrative that runs through all the programs to keep the children’s interest, while learning the foundations of ballet/dance and therefore, learning through the sense of play. Some of the themes explored in our ‘Tots’ classes are: Under the Sea, The Magical and Secret Garden, A Day at the Circus and many more! There are 8 different ‘Tots’ programs taught across 2-years. This means your child can attend ‘Tots’ classes for 2-years without repeating any class content.

Jumping Jacks
(4 - 5 year olds)

‘Jumping Jacks’ is a Preschool Dance program for children who are ready to take instruction from a teacher independently from their caregiver and are 4-5-years-old.

The ‘Jumping Jacks’ program is highly creative and imaginative dance program for kinder kids. This program invites young dancers to become immersed in an exciting narrative and learn foundational dance skills through imaginative play. In ‘Jumping Jacks’ we don’t teach one particular dance style, instead we teach a broad range of movement skills that could be applied to any form of dance. There is also a focus on rhythm in the ‘Jumping Jacks’ programs which is fundamental for all styles of dance. This class is for kids with an abundance of energy who just want to move their bodies and have fun!

There are 4 different ‘Jumping Jacks’ programs taught across 1 year. The themes explored in ‘Jumping Jacks’ are Treasure Island, Rocket to the moon, Visiting Grandma and Adventure in a new land (we head off on a flying carpet adventure!)

‘Jumping Jacks’ is intended for children in their final year of kinder. Children in Prep also really enjoy ‘Jumping Jacks’ and are welcome to participate in ‘Jumping Jacks’ rather than our Prep-Grade 1 classes if preferred.
